Rules and Responsibilities:
- Coaches will determine the seeding of
divisions at the CPL meeting, and then select a
Division coordinator. After the meeting, they may
need to check with their League/Club field
coordinator to provide the CPL scheduler with field
and game time information. The schedules will be
created and sent (via e-mail) to the Division
coordinators for distribution to teams. Note that
all coaches
must have a valid Coach’s pass; a pass for the
assistant coach is recommended.
- Division Coordinators are responsible for
distributing the completed game schedules to all
teams in their division (normally via e-mail). They
are also responsible for communicating any schedule
changes or corrections to their division’s teams,
and for recommending any mid-season changes.
- Home Team Coach is responsible for the game
card, and for reporting the match results to the
Statisticians (John and Jim) no later than the
Sunday evening following the game. The home team is
responsible for confirmation of game time and
location with the visiting team
no later than the Wednesday
preceding a Saturday game. We
strongly recommend that the visiting
coach call the home coach on or before Wednesday
just to be sure. The home team is responsible for
providing all (three) Referees for the match, and is
to ensure that the field is properly set up for
play.
Re-scheduled games will retain the original home and
away assignment unless
both coaches agree to change. If
coaches cannot agree on re-scheduling of a missed
game, or for any other schedule change, the CPL
coordinators will make a final
decision as to the re-schedule date, time and field,
or any other schedule change. There are NO
forfeit matches. If a game cannot played at
the scheduled date and time, and it cannot be
re-scheduled to another date and time, then it is
just an un-played match. Game statistics and
standings are kept only for seeding purposes.
- All Red Cards issued in CPL shall be heard
by the PAD committee of the League in which they
were issued (Home team’s League). The Home
team coach is responsible for forwarding the 24-hour
report, game card, player’s pass, and all other
pertinent documentation to their League PAD for a
hearing in the week following the send-off. The CPL
coordinators MUST be notified of any
incident no later than one day after the match. The
Referee may wish to forward the report, game card,
and pass directly; if so, the home coach MUST
ensure that the Referee knows to forward this
documentation to the PAD committee of the League of
residence of the home team.
Æ
Send-off documentation should NOT be sent to the Metro League PAD
